A plant is the shadow and breath of many generations of the Manu family. Environment is the source of oxygen, bosom of health, companion of peaceful life. Thus the human race is a part of the environment. Protection of the environment is like protection of human breath and future. Environment Day was celebrated by planting saplings in Sangolli Rayanna circle of the city by Matroodevo Samaja Kalyan and Educational Charitable Trust with the feeling of green-breath.

Saplings were planted in the premises of Dry Waste Collection Unit at Swami Vivekananda Barangay, Davangere Nagar as part of World Environment Day celebrations in collaboration with Matroodevo Samaj Kalyan and Educational Charitable Trust and Green Dal. And saplings were distributed to local citizens.
